This is Megan Williams' recipe. Thank you Megan for a pizza recipe that we just can't get enough of!!
Here's the link to her blog: http://babiesandbroccoli.blogspot.com There are all kinds of great "normal people" recipes in there!Pizza dough - Megan uses trader joe's pizza crust. I use that or buy dough from Sam's Club a case at a time.
Topping
Topping
2 cups cooked chicken breast halves (chopped)
8 slices cooked bacon (cut up)
1/4 cup red onion (chopped)
2 cups Mozzerella Cheese (shredded)
1 cup tomatoes (chopped)
1 cup tomatoes (chopped)
Pizza Sauce**
1/3-1/2 cup ranch dressing
1/4 cup butter
1 1/2 ounces cream cheese
1/2 pint heavy whipping cream
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
1 1/2 ounces cream cheese
1/2 pint heavy whipping cream
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
Salt and black pepper
(**We have a favorite "healthy-ish" alfredo sauce at our house, so I use that intead. It's 1/3 brick low fat cream cheese, 1T butter, a little2% milk, 1/2 tsp garlic powder, 1/4 C Parmesan.)
Directions:
Preheat oven to 500. Place Pizza Stone in oven and let it warm up for atleast 30 minutes. Meanwhile, roll out pizza dough onto your pizza dough and prepare sauce. (I preheated to 450 and used a regular pizza pan)
In saucepan over low heat, melt butter. Mix in the cream cheese and stir until melted. Stir in the cream and garlic powder. Increase the heat and bring to a boil. Decrease the heat and simmer, stirring often. If sauce seems too thin, sprinkle in some flour 1 teaspoon at a time. Cook and stir for desired consistency. Stir in the parmesan cheese and season with salt and pepper.
Spread your ranch dressing on your dough first, next spread your alfredo sauce on the dough.
Spread your ranch dressing on your dough first, next spread your alfredo sauce on the dough.
Sprinkle half of your mozzarella cheese on the pizza. Add your shredded chicken, bacon, tomatoes and chopped onion. Sprinkle with remaining cheese and bake at 500 on the bottom rack of oven for 10 - 12 minutes or until crust appears done on the bottom. (If using Sam's pizza crust, bake for about 20 minutes.)
