Broccoli Cheese Soup

INGREDIENTS
· 1/2 cup butter
· 1 (16 ounce) package frozen chopped broccoli
· 4 (14.5 ounce) cans chicken broth / 2 cups chicken stock
· 8 ounces grated sharp cheddar cheese
· 2 cups milk
· 1 tablespoon garlic powder
· 1/4 cup flour
· 1 cup water

DIRECTIONS
1. In a stockpot, melt butter over medium heat.Stir in broccoli, and cover with chicken broth. Simmer until broccoli is tender, 10 to 15 minutes.
2. Reduce heat, and stir in cheese until melted. Mix in milk and garlic powder.
In a small bowl, stir flour into water until dissolved. Stir into soup; cook, stirring frequently, until thick.

Crock Pot Recipe – Broccoli Cheese Soup
1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen chopped broccoli,thawed
2 tbsp. butter
1 tbsp. flour
2 cups shredded American cheese
Salt to taste
5 cups milk

Combine all ingredients in slow cooker. Stir well. Cook on low for 2 1/2 to 4 hours. If soup is too thick, add a little more milk.
8 servings.
