Healthy granola bars that actually taste good

How's that for a title!?

1 1/2 cup oats (steel cut are great for lactation)
1 ripe banana mashed
1/2 cup chocolate chips (Or um... Dove peanut butter chocolate chips)
1/2 cup honey (or maple syrup if you must)
1/2 cup peanut butter
1/2 cup almonds (or other chopped up nuts)
2T flax meal (also great for lactation)
1 tsp vanilla

You can also add:
4 scoops protein powder (I like chocolate- of course)
1/2 cup dried fruit
2 tsp brewer's yeast (another good lactation booster)

Mix together completely, press into an 8×8 pan, cover with plastic wrap and put in freezer to harden for a few hours. Cut into bars, then wrap each bar in plastic wrap or parchment paper and store in the freezer. I put the individually wrapped bars in a plastic container with a lid for freshness.

*I can tell this recipe already isn't going to last the day, so double or triple this for sure! :)
