Babyfood: Baby Breakfast Bars

It's nice to grab a granola bar or a breakfast bar on the way to work, right? Well here's the nutritious, egg and sugar free mini version, perfect for the little one.

1C whole wheat flour
1C 100% Juice (I use cherry juicy juice)
1C Baby Cereal (I use oatmeal)
1/4C Pureed fruit or veggies - this needs to be thick enough that it doesn't run. Add baby cereal if needed to thicken. Never add cornmeal to thicken

Roll the dough into sticks and then flatten OR use a cookie cutter to make shapes. They should be about 1/4 inch thick.
Top half of the sticks or shapes with fruit or veggie puree.
Place another stick or shape on top of the puree like a sandwich
Use a fork or spoon to crimp the edges so the puree stays in
Bake at 350* for 30 minutes or more. You want them to be fairly dry.

If you're doing sticks/bars you can also just divide the dough in half, make a long rectangle of half the dough, top with puree, and cover with another long rectangle. Then use a pizza cutter to make bars or sticks.
